My role at PBSA:

My role at PBSA is and has been very rewarding.  I have been a member of the Association from the beginning.  I have served on the Board of Directors of and on for something like 14 years and currently serve on several committees.  I'm particularly excited about my new role as a member of the Leadership Development Committee (LDC).

 

Why I wanted to volunteer with PBSA:

My motivation to volunteer with PBSA stems from a need to actively shape not just my own future, but the future of our entire industry. I've always found it challenging to be a passive observer when there's potential for meaningful impact. A very wise person once asked me “to get where you are going would you rather ride the bus or drive the bus”? 

 

What I do when not at work:

I love hanging out on the farm with our several grandchildren.  When I am not on the farm, I love to hang out at the beach, fishing, smoking cigars, and sampling different whiskies and ryes.

 

What I'm reading:

I am currently reading a science fiction series and The Hank Show.

 

Favorite website, podcast, blogs, etc.:

My favorite podcasts are SmartLess, Stuff You Should Know, and Ancient Faith Today.

 

On my desk right now (books, personal items, etc.):

A couple of boxes of Cigars, a name placard with “NOPE.” instead of my name (given to me by my daughters one Christmas), couple of laptops, and an old hat.
