My role at PBSA:
I am a member of the PBSA Canada Council Government Relations Committee
Why I wanted to volunteer with PBSA:
I wanted to support and contribute to the PBSA’s vital mission of promoting a high level of ethics, member knowledge and education, and performance standards across the industry. I believe that succeeding in this mission allows PBSA to assume a trusted leadership role that gives us a strong and compelling voice when advocating on behalf of our industry.
What I do when not at work:
I am an avid dog trainer and competitor with my German Shepherd Dogs. I compete in AKC Obedience, Agility, Tracking as well as in IGP (the sport formerly known as Schutzhund which involves tracking, obedience and protection), and have been to many national championship and invitational events in all of these disciplines. I’ve made the finals numerous times in both obedience and agility, including running in the finals in 2022 at the Masters Agility Championship at Westminster and placed third at the DVG America IGP3 National Championship in 2019.
What I'm reading:
I’m listening to “The Palace Papers” on Audible. The behind the scenes information about the British Royal Family is fascinating.
Favorite website, podcast, blogs, etc.:
There are several dog competition related podcasts that I listen to. Outside of dog training I enjoy true crime podcasts.
On my desk right now (books, personal items, etc.):
My water bottle is always nearby.
