January 2025 Volunteer of the Month
Rebecca E. Kuehn, Partner, Hudson Cook, LLP
Admitted in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia
My role at PBSA:
Supporting PBSA’s mission through general legal counseling and providing educational content to PBSA’s members through webinars, conference presentations, and updates on relevant developments.
Why I wanted to volunteer with PBSA:
I first met PBSA (then NAPBS) when I was at the FTC, and I was impressed with the dedication and commitment of its members, and their willingness to speak honestly and openly about the challenges they faced in complying with the FCRA. I also believe in the members’ commitment to protecting the public by helping their customers properly assess risk through appropriate screening.
What I do when not at work:
Is there something outside of work? I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.
What I'm reading:
Usually anything by Michael Connelly. For non-fiction, I’m reading Give Her Credit, by Grace L. Williams, the story of a women-owned bank in the 1970s.
Favorite website, podcast, blogs, etc.:
I like the HBR Women at Work series, Smartless with Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, and Cold (True Crime podcast)
On my desk right now (books, personal items, etc.):
Itty Bittys of Q, Janeway, 7 of 9, and Locutus of Borg from Star Trek. I am a huge Star Trek fan!
