Volunteer Program Advisory Group (VPAG)

Number of Volunteers Needed: Three (3)
Skillsets Desired: Desire to create a pathway for PBSA members to volunteer. Looking for people who will be willing to be part of the Advisory Group to brainstorm different ways to alert members of volunteer opportunities and tout the benefits of volunteering. Have availability to attend Advisory Group's monthly meetings scheduled for the second Thursday of the month @1p North American Eastern Time Zone.
Estimated volunteer time is 3 hours per month (1 hour for meeting and 2 hours for Advisory Group projects).
Description of Volunteer Objective/Goals:
The PBSA Volunteer Program is a framework designed to create a formal volunteer structure, create clearly defined roles and expectations, allowing volunteers to work towards completing strategic plan goals (as directed), increase engagement with the association, provide a volunteer pathway to promote leadership development, and promote the success of the organization through the work of its volunteers.

You’ll have the flexibility to choose tasks that suit your skills, whether it's managing our LinkedIn page, creating fun designs in Canva, or promoting events and webinars. Description of Volunteer Objective/Goals:
At the end of 2024, PBSA launched a new committee focused on government, regulatory, and legislative matters across Europe - Europe Government Relations.
At the moment, we have representatives from the UK, France, Sweden and South Africa, and we’re eager to expand our reach and bring in more voices from across Europe. We are looking for volunteers to identify the best means to track legislative or regulatory activity so that we can engage and share feedback on behalf of our members when appropriate.

APAC Conference Taskforce

Description of Volunteer Objective/Goals:
This ad hoc taskforce is created to assist Staff with the planning of the schedule of events for the annual APAC conference. The hotel and formal bookings are complete, but we need to identify educational sessions and other events that will complement the event. Most communications/meetings will be via email, but some calls may occur during mutually beneficial times.

Description of Volunteer Objective/Goals:
This committee monitors current and upcoming legislation across the region and responds to changes that may be of impact to members. Meetings are once per month with some email communications between meetings.

This committee works to fulfill the goal of developing a robust program for creating, reviewing, and distributing “practical guidance” for the screening profession.
