Angela Preston, JD, CCEP, is Senior Vice President and Counsel for Corporate Compliance and Ethics for Sterling. At Sterling, she oversees the company’s global compliance and ethics initiatives. Angela has broad industry experience including 25 years as a licensed attorney and 15 years as a leader and expert in the background screening industry. She has extensive expertise in consumer protection law including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, privacy law, EEO law and regulatory compliance. She is certified by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics as a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional. Throughout her career she has specialized in government affairs, compliance best practices and policy initiatives.

Preston sits on the Board of Directors of the Professional Background Screening Assocition (PBSA), where she is Chair. Preston has represented the background screening profession and has testified in meetings with regulators and elected officials.
