We expect 850-950 attendees made up of owners and employees of background screening firms, those who provide services for those firms, as well as supporters of the profession. Attendees include CEOs, compliance officers, managers, general counsel and other employees representing a range of small to large firms. This year we have 54 exhibiting companies. Companies and organizations who offer services and products to the screening profession are in attendance.
To help you generate support for your participation we've crafted a sample "Request to Attend" letter that you can customize to fit your situation. Take a few minutes to review the schedule, sessions, and confirmed exhibitors and do a little research to determine your approximate travel and incidental costs. Then, customize the sections in the letter highlighted in yellow to reflect your individual costs and how the conference can best serve you and your company. No two companies are quite the same, so feel free to customize the letter as much or as little as needed to best make your case.

NAPBS does not use a third-party to make hotel reservations. If you are contacted by a third party regarding your hotel reservations, such company is not acting on behalf of NAPBS nor on behalf of the hotel. Contact the hotel directly if you have any concerns regarding your reservations.
In an effort to minimize these scams and to protect our attendees' information, NAPBS has placed all hotel information behind the member log-in. Unfortunately, NAPBS cannot completely prevent the scams from taking place. As always, take caution with your credit card information and ensure you are sending it to a confirmed and trusted source.

Yes, wireless internet is provided for all NAPBS attendees in the guest rooms, session rooms and exhibit hall.
Sunday events are dress casual, jeans encouraged (Sunday evening's event includes a live band).
Dress code throughout Monday and Tuesday is business casual.
Breakfast and lunch are provided on Monday and Tuesday. Dinner will be provided during the Opening Exhibit Showcase on Sunday night. Hors d'oeuvres will be offered during the Exhibit Showcase on Monday evening and the Closing Event on Tuesday evening. Registered attendees may purchase tickets for their non-industry guests for the following events. All guests must be accompanied by a registered conference attendee.

NAPBS reserves the right to cancel any event. In the event NAPBS cancels the event, registrants will receive a full refund. NAPBS further reserves the right to substitute event content, format, presenters and the like, no refund of any kind will be provided to registrants.
NAPBS does not host a golf tournament but does support the Sue Weaver CAUSE and invite you to participate in their annual fundraiser Chipping in for CAUSE. CAUSE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization advocating for comprehensive background investigations for consumer safety, especially for those workers entering our homes or working with the vulnerable populations.
